Two Prairies Ultra
The Two Prairies Ultra is a trail running event on March 13, 2027 in Fort McCoy, FL, organized by Combat Racing Events. Entry is offered as a free FAT ASS event with a participation cap of 50 due to limited parking and the wilderness setting.

The course starts at Pat's Island Trailhead in the Ocala National Forest near Salt Springs and follows sections of the Florida Trail. The route passes through the Juniper Wilderness area, including Juniper and Hopkins Prairies and reaches Juniper Springs Recreation Area on the southern leg.
The 50K is two out and back segments: south 8.8 miles to Juniper Springs Recreation Area (17.6 miles roundtrip), return to the start, then north 7.25 miles (14.5 miles roundtrip). The 30K route covers only the south half of the course.
Registration opens December 1, 2026. Parking is limited and participation is capped at 50. Combat Racing Events allows withdrawals up to seven days before the event without receiving a Did Not Start result; late withdrawals should be communicated to the race director. Repeated DNS results at free Combat Racing events may affect future eligibility.
The event uses the Florida Trail, a long-distance trail maintained with volunteer work and donations; a minimum suggested donation of $25 per participant is noted to support trail maintenance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
