Two Crosses Challenge Event
The Two Crosses Challenge Event takes place on Sunday 14 March 2027. The organiser offers two route choices that both visit the Roman Cross at Affetside and the Pilgrim's Cross on Holcombe Moor. The event base is Greenmount Old School Community Centre BL8 4DS.

Entries open on 7 October 2026 via SI Entries. Priority booking for LDWA members runs until 7 November 2026. Entry fees are £15.00 for LDWA members and £22.00 for non-members. Refunds are available subject to a 20% administration fee. Entries may be sold to another entrant subject to SI administration fees; substitutions can be made with no fee. Changes via SI Entries are possible until Saturday 6 March 2027.
The route is not waymarked. Entrants must use the written route description and GPX files provided; updated GPX and route descriptions will be issued to entrants before the event. The long route has a cut off: participants must reach the 7.5-mile point by 10.30 to continue on the long route. Later checkpoints have closing times; participants who miss them may be retired.
Parking will be across several locations; marshals will direct vehicles. Participants should not park at the Old School and must not use the Miller and Carter car park. Bring a mug and the equipment listed on SI Entries. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead, supervised and have their own public liability insurance.
