Twilight 10 Trail Race
This is a night trail race at Oak Flats on October 24, 2026. The course measures approximately 9.97 miles +/- with about 974 feet of elevation gain and 994 feet of descent. The route was designed to be runnable and includes singletrack sections such as Pine Loop, which the organizers call "Cedro’s Ghost."
Runners head north to the Mahogany/Another Juan trail intersection for a turnaround and short out-and-back, then continue onto Poker Chip and connect to Gambel Oak. The route proceeds south and then east to join Pine Loop, after which runners turn onto Deadman’s trail, climb back up to Easy Pickin’, and follow a connector to finish at the Oak Flats Picnic Ground parking area. Missing the sharp left onto Deadman’s trail leads to Pine Flats Trailhead. The course lies between Juan Tomas Road to the north, Hwy 337 to the west, and Oak Flats Road to the south and east.
Headlamps or an approved light source are required; cell phone lights are not acceptable as the sole light. Runners must present their light source at mandatory check in. There will be volunteers on course, reflective flags and signs, and two limited aid stations that provide water only at the Mahogany/Another Juan turnaround and at the Pine Loop/Deadman intersection. No pacers and no dogs are allowed. Cell service is available in the area and carrying a phone is recommended. If a runner leaves the course or withdraws they must notify a volunteer so organizers do not initiate search procedures. Search and rescue resources will be available if needed.
Organizers may require additional clothing or gear depending on weather conditions. Packet pickup is to be determined and entries received before October 1, 2026 will be prioritized for event t-shirts and size allocation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
