TrailFest - Holdenby House
TrailFest - Holdenby House is a trail running event scheduled for 13 September 2026 at Holdenby House in Northamptonshire. The event is held within the private Holdenby estate and uses traffic free trails inside the grounds.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 10K
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- 50 km
The route starts and finishes between the Basecourt Arches and follows farm tracks, field edges and a small, seldom-trodden wood with natural obstacles such as branches and logs. The course offers views over rolling Northamptonshire and includes one noticeable hill amid generally rolling terrain. If the ground has been dry, road shoes are likely to be suitable; if heavy rain has fallen within 24 hours, trail shoes are advised.
The event is run under a UK Athletics / Trail Running Association license, so dogs are not permitted. Crew are allowed but pacers may not run alongside participants except in the final 100 metres. Spectators may not move along the trail but may watch from points on the course or the cafe area. There is a large grass area near the headquarters that can accommodate a gazebo.
Parking is free on grass at the estate. The venue is about 4 miles north-west of Northampton, roughly 15 minutes from M1 Junction 18, 7 miles from Northampton train station and 5 miles from Long Buckby station. No bus services serve the area.
Entry uses tiered pricing before and after 28 June 2026: advance and later fees are listed per distance in the event information. Unaffiliated entrants pay an additional £2. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
