Trail Run at Sly Park (Summer)
This event takes place at Sly Park Recreation Area around Jenkinson Lake with a centralized start and parking area at the Scales Parking Lot. All races begin at Scales Parking Lot; the 5K both starts and finishes there, while the 10K and all longer distances finish at the Waterfall Trailhead. Vehicles must be parked at Scales Parking Lot; parking is limited and a $5 day use fee is payable in cash. No parking is allowed at the Waterfall Trailhead or the Sly Park Event Center.

The course is mostly single track with gently rolling hills, some flat wide sections, and small paved portions. Runners begin with about a quarter mile downhill on gravel followed by a steep quarter mile climb on single track; after the first half mile trails run relatively flat near the lake in a counterclockwise direction. Some sections have rocks and roots.
There are two main aid stations at opposite ends of the lake, at the Waterfall Trailhead finish area and at Hazel Creek; the 5K and 10K do not reach the Hazel Creek aid station. Porta potties are available at the start and restrooms are at the Waterfall Trailhead and at several points along the course. Entry fees are non refundable; transfers to future events are allowed with advance notice. All finishers receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
