Trail of Honor: Cody Myers Memorial Race
The Trail of Honor is a community trail event in the Lock Haven, Pennsylvania area held as a memorial race and fundraiser. The event includes two runnable trail course options at the Sons of Italy Campground near Mill Hall and is organized in partnership with local organizations.
Course details note mixed dirt and singletrack terrain, generally runnable rather than highly technical. The long course is described as mostly flat and fast with a gradual climb toward the midpoint. Aid and volunteer support are provided on course, and routes are clearly marked. The event is timed but presented with a community-first emphasis rather than a high-pressure racing focus.
Distances
- 8.7 miles long course, approximately 334 feet of elevation gain
- 4.55 miles short course, approximately 119 feet of elevation gain
The long course includes two stocked aid stations offering water, electrolytes, and light snacks; volunteers provide basic course support and directions. After the race there is an afternoon community gathering at the Lock Haven VFW with food, music, raffles, a live auction, and a cash bar. Admission is listed separately for race participants and non-participants.
All proceeds benefit the Cody Myers Legacy Scholarship administered by the Keystone Central Foundation to support graduating seniors in the Keystone Central School District who demonstrate leadership, integrity, and mentoring. Registration closes on October 10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
