Towne Lake Half Marathon
The 7th Annual Towne Lake Half Marathon, 10K and 5K is scheduled for Sunday, March 7, 2027 in McKinney, Texas. The event uses three USATF certified courses that run on trails and near Towne Lake, offering views of Towne Lake and parts of McKinney.
All race participants, including 5K and 10K finishers, receive a finisher medal and a gender specific technical t shirt while supplies last. The race benefits the McKinney Police Association, a fraternal, benevolent and charitable 501(c) organization that supports police officers and the local community.
The event is organized by AMPT Running Co and is offered with both in person and virtual participation options in past and recent editions. Virtual packets for the listed virtual option were shipped to US Continental addresses and included a shirt, medal and bib; virtual packets were noted to ship approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the event date. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable. The event is held rain or shine.
Towne Lake is presented as part of AMPT Running Co’s multi race series. Completing the series in previous years could earn additional series rewards such as an acrylic or totem style medal base for that season. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
