Towne Lake Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
The Towne Lake event in McKinney, Texas includes three USATF certified race courses that pass near Towne Lake and through parts of Collin County and McKinney. The event offers in-person and virtual participation options for the same set of distances.
All race participants, including 5K and 10K finishers, receive a finisher medal and a gender specific technical t-shirt while supplies last. The virtual option ships packets to the US continental address and virtual packets are scheduled to ship approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the event date. Virtual entries include a shirt, medal, and bib as described for the virtual race.
The event is organized as part of AMPT Running Co’s multi race series. Completing all six series events, in person or virtual, qualifies participants for an exclusive acrylic medal base offered for the 2026 series. The Towne Lake race also names the McKinney Police Association as its beneficiary; that organization is described as a fraternal, benevolent, and charitable 501(c) group with a mission to support police officers and the community.
All entry fees are non refundable and non transferable. The event is held rain or shine.
