Towne Lake Half Marathon
Towne Lake Half Marathon is a multi-distance road and trail event in McKinney, Texas, featuring courses that pass along Towne Lake and through Collin County. The event includes USATF certified courses for all three distances and emphasizes on-course views of Towne Lake and McKinney.

All registered finishers for each distance receive a finisher medal and a gender-specific technical t-shirt while supplies last. The event offers an in-person option and a virtual option; virtual entries include a shirt, medal and bib, with virtual packets shipping to the US continental address approximately 4–6 weeks after the event date.
Towne Lake is part of AMPT Running Co’s multi-race series. For the 2026 series, completing all six events, in-person or virtual, qualified participants to receive an exclusive acrylic base to display that year’s medal collection. The race benefits the McKinney Police Association, a fraternal, benevolent and charitable 501(c) organization that supports local officers and community needs.
