Run for Homeless Youth at St Ives Showground
This running event is part of Tour de PIF NSW and is held at St Ives Showground on Friday 11 September 2026. It raises funds for young people experiencing homelessness, with a stated event fundraising goal of $400,000 and $41,197 raised so far.
The courses use bush and fire trails around St Ives Showground. The loop measures 5.2 km and the surface is uneven gravel. There are two aid stations on the course. Runners are advised to prepare with offsite fitness training if attempting the longer distances and to be comfortable on gravel trail surfaces.
Participants can enter individually or as part of a team. On-course support is provided, but runners are expected to be largely self-sufficient and should carry a mobile phone, water and personal nutrition, appropriate clothing for wet weather, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Event facilities include fully supported courses, aid stations, a bus shuttle from Gordon Station, coffee, drinks, lunch in the event village, medical support and parking.
Available run distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 15 km
Estimated completion ranges are published for each distance. The event emphasizes industry participation and fundraising to create safe bedrooms and housing opportunities for young people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
