Tideland 24, Cedar Point NC
Tideland 24 is a fully supported 24 hour ultramarathon held in the Croatan National Forest in Cedar Point, North Carolina, on November 7, 2026. The event uses the Tideland National Recreation Trail, a USATF certified 1.37779 mile loop that follows the White Oak River and passes through adjoining salt marsh and forest.
The looped course includes aluminum and wooden bridges and a well-groomed crushed gravel surface with minimal trip hazards and little elevation gain. Participants accumulate distance over the timed period; finishing 100 miles earns a 100 mile belt buckle.
Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers, and a Top Active Duty recognition is included. The event partners with the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program; runners who raise funds for the Marine Raider Foundation may qualify for an entry fee waiver, with details managed by the Race Director.
The event operates as a nonprofit; net proceeds are donated to the Marine Raider Foundation. To date, the race has raised over $39,000 for that charity. Registration for the 2026 event closes on Monday, November 2 at 11:59 PM ET. No deferrals, transfers, or refunds are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
