The Tufty Trail Race
The Tufty Trail Race takes place on 08 Nov 2026 and is organised by Falkland Trail Runners. The course is approximately 5 miles and is run on trails and paths in the Falkland Estate surrounding Strathmiglo.
The route starts adjacent to Strathmiglo Village Hall, climbs toward the Lomonds, includes a loop on forest trails in Drumdreel woods, and finishes with a fast downhill return toward the start. Race headquarters at Strathmiglo Village Hall provides number pick-up, toilets, bag storage and limited changing facilities. There is a small car park outside the hall and additional street parking nearby; participants are asked to consider local residents when parking.
Entry is by pre-entry only. There are no refunds or deferrals, but number transfers are allowed up to seven days before the race. The entry fee is £14 and includes a race memento, post-race refreshments and a donation to Falkland Estate. All finishers receive a race memento.
Prizes are awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers and to first male and female in the age categories Under 20, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus. The event is insured and permitted by the Association of Running Clubs and is held under ARC rules. Total places available are 100. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
