The Skippo
The Skippo is a two day trail race weekend held at Castlewood State Park on October 31 and November 1, 2026. The event features trail loops that include a noted stairs section and offers multiple distance options across the weekend.

The event staging area is in the park Special Events Area at 1401 Kiefer Creek Rd, Ballwin, MO. Packet pickup is available before the weekend at Big River Running Company West County and there is race day pickup at the park. A marked bag drop area near the start and finish is provided; participants are asked to label their bags.
There are weekend challenge options that combine Saturday and Sunday events, with a custom award for challenge finishers and recognition in the event Stairmaster listing. All entrants receive a custom long sleeve tech shirt. All finishers receive a Skippo mug, and finishers in the half and 30k also receive a custom medal. Top three in each 10-year age group receive custom awards.
Park capacity limits entries each day and changes or refunds are restricted. Complimentary finisher photos and videos are available. Sunday course cutoff is 1:00 PM and 30k runners must begin their final loop by 11:30 AM to remain on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
