The Round 100

The Round 100 is a 100 mile trail ultra that follows the waymarked Leicestershire Round, a route that circles the county via rolling countryside, ancient trails, farmland, woodland, country lanes and riverside paths. This is the inaugural solo running of the complete route as an ultra-marathon.

The event starts and finishes at Beacon Hill Country Park, Loughborough, and is offered in two formats: solo 100 mile or a team relay of four runners. There are nine fully stocked checkpoints around the course providing food, drinks and medical support, and the event enforces checkpoint cut-offs within an overall 32 hour limit. Checkpoint locations and individual cut-off times are to be confirmed.

The Round 100 is an official UTMB Index Race in the 100M category; finishing the race contributes to an athlete’s UTMB Index score but does not award UTMB Running Stones. The event is affiliated with England Athletics and the Trail Running Association and is organised under their rules.

Entry requirements include being at least 20 years old, being in good health, and having completed a marathon prior to the event. Mandatory kit includes a headtorch with spare batteries, backup light source, survival blanket or bivvy, minimum 1 litre water capacity, sufficient nutrition, waterproof jacket with taped seams, long-sleeved thermal base layer, mobile phone with the race emergency number saved, whistle, visible race bib and the organiser’s GPS tracker. Drop bags are restricted to approx 30 litre bags with specified maximum dimensions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
