The RIDUM Half 2026 (Pegasus Ultra Running)

The RIDUM Half is a new Pegasus event for September 2026 that covers 15 miles along the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway Walk. The route runs from Rudry to Parc Penalta and follows waymarked ridgelines around the Caerphilly basin, offering varied underfoot conditions across lanes, trails and woodland.

The course is mostly off-road, with organisers stating approximately 90% trail and 10% road. The published elevation profile for the half is 2,267 ft. There is one fully staffed and stocked checkpoint on the route supplying snacks, fresh fruit, hot and cold drinks, seating and power banks; dietary requirements can be accommodated if notified at registration. The organiser also provides route files via Plotaroute for navigation and last minute updates.

There are no formal time limits for the event. The entry package includes a Pegasus medal, post-race care, access to the stocked checkpoint and event crew support within a professionally organised framework. Participants are required to carry mandatory kit including appropriate footwear, a 1 litre water carrier, a mobile phone, a headlamp or other light source, a foil blanket, a waterproof jacket and a rucksack. Organisers send pre-event information by email and make a pre-race check-in call a few days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
