The MTC Oxford Ultra

The MTC Oxford Ultra is a point to point 49 mile ultra run along sections of the Thames Path from Travelodge Oxford Abingdon Road to the Catherine Wheel in Henley-on-Thames. The route passes notable river locations including Sandford Weir and the towns of Culham, Cholsey, Moulsford, Streatley, Whitchurch-on-Thames, Purley Park, Tilehurst and Reading before reaching Henley-on-Thames.

The event has three staffed checkpoints that provide water and basic nutrition. Example checkpoint items include malt loaf, cake, sandwiches, dried fruit, sweets, squash, cola and water. The organiser aims to cater for Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian needs where possible; competitors may also leave drop bags at checkpoints and are advised to carry personal supplies.

  • Start to Checkpoint 1 12.3 miles
  • Checkpoint 1 to Checkpoint 2 12.7 miles
  • Checkpoint 2 to Checkpoint 3 13.4 miles
