The Next Loop - Shreveport (Eddie D. Jones Park)
The event is held at Eddie D. Jones Park in Keithville, LA (8400 Mike Clark Road, Caddo Parish). The course is a clearly marked 3.1-mile (5K) loop that returns to a central start/finish and a fully stocked aid station on each lap.
The trail system is well maintained and mostly flat, winding through wooded terrain and open park areas. The surface is primarily dirt and grass with occasional packed gravel sections, providing forgiving footing and minimal elevation change that supports steady pacing and consistent footing.
The event uses a loop format in which participants complete one loop at a time and may choose how many laps to run. Runners depart each hour on the hour, receive credit for every completed loop, and may rest or refuel between laps. This format removes preselected race-distance commitments and records each loop as an accomplishment.
The series is presented as appropriate for a range of endurance goals: building distance progressively, practicing pacing and nutrition with repeated loops, or stacking laps for longer efforts.
