The Next Loop Endurance Series - New England
The Next Loop Endurance Series - New England is a trail running event held at White Barn Farm on October 31, 2026. The event offers two distinct formats designed for runners and walkers to test their endurance without a fixed distance requirement or the risk of a "Did Not Finish" (DNF) status. Participants can choose between an hourly restart format or a continuous timed challenge.
The Next Loop Endurance Series format utilizes an hourly start system. Participants begin a designated trail loop at the top of every hour. After completing the loop, runners return to the start area to recover and wait for the next scheduled start. This format emphasizes a social environment where individuals decide how many loops they wish to complete. Every completed loop is recorded, allowing participants to aim for specific milestones such as a 10 km, half-marathon, marathon, or 50 km.
The Next 12 Hour Challenge provides a continuous endurance option where the clock runs non-stop for 12 hours. Unlike the hourly series, there are no required waiting periods between loops. Participants have full control over their pace and can choose to run continuously or take breaks at their staging area whenever they wish.
Available distances and formats include:
- The Next Loop Endurance Series: Hourly restarts with loops completed at the top of every hour.
- The Next 12 Hour Challenge: A continuous 12-hour clock for maximum distance.
Results for both events are based on the total number of loops and distance completed. All participants receive recognition for their distances, and results are ranked among others who achieved the same total mileage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
