The Long Watch
The Long Watch is a timed endurance running event held on September 5, 2026 at Donald Farm in Woodland, Washington. Participants run on a measured one mile loop and compete in formats that last a set number of hours rather than fixed distances.
A manned aid station is available and is described as stocked with snacks and support suitable for daytime and overnight running. The loop runs through the Warrior Expo grounds, passing Strongman competitions, Highland Games events, medieval armored combat, vendors, and spectators. The Warrior Expo is described as a multi-day gathering that brings together athletes, vendors, and spectators from across the Pacific Northwest.
Runners cover as many miles as possible within the chosen timed format. The event description notes a change in atmosphere over the course of the day, with a busy festival environment evolving into quieter night hours. The Long Watch frames the running alongside the idea of standing watch during the night and running through both daylight and darkness.
