Lake to Bay Relay & Ultramarathon
Lake to Bay is a single day team relay or ultramarathon held in Vancouver and Camas, Washington. The event covers 62.2 miles (100 kilometers) split into 15 legs with 14 exchange points. Teams may consist of 1 to 7 people; one-person teams run the ultramarathon option.
The route uses city parks, sidewalks, park trails, bike lanes, and the shoulder of narrow roadways. Streets are not closed for the event, and all participants must follow pedestrian and traffic laws. The course is marked with lawn flags, laminated arrows on posts, and sidewalk chalk at designated school locations.
Registration includes race entry, one car pass for Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park and Salmon Creek Regional Park, one parking pass for Terminal-1 Garage (403 Quayside Pl, Vancouver, WA 98660), an event t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a post race meal provided by Twigs Bistro & Restaurant. Ultramarathon finishers receive a second medal. Teams also receive one event booklet at packet pick-up with maps and turn-by-turn information; course media and videos are available online.
Each team must supply one volunteer as a Course or Exchange Monitor or pay an opt-out fee. Exchanges use a slap bracelet as the team baton and include basic first aid at exchange points. Optional pre-race resources include a packet pick-up gathering and an informational Zoom call. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
