The Little Miami Trail Challenge at John Bryan
The event is a two-day trail running meeting held at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio, featuring multiple race formats on park trails that run along a limestone gorge formed by the Little Miami River. The gorge is a National Natural Landmark and provides views from the trail.
Race formats take place over two days and include these distances and formats:
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
- 20K relay, four 5K loops, teams of 2 to 4
- 6 Hours of Power (time-based)
Relay teams must register as separate participants and each team member must run at least one loop. A Fall Pack Pass option grants entry into all 2026 events and is valid until 12/31/2026.
The event is permitted under a special use authorization from John Bryan State Park. On-site facilities include the park campground, and nearby lodging options such as the Rustic Retreat are mentioned among local accommodations; the Rustic Retreat includes vintage Airstream campers and guest rooms and is associated with the race series.
