The Itch - Ocala, FL
The Itch is a point to point 50K trail race on the Florida National Scenic Trail West Corridor held on October 17, 2026. The route begins on Lake Kerr Road / CR-316, follows the Western Connector, and finishes at the Baseline Road Trailhead in Ocala. The course runs through undeveloped wilderness and requires runners to carry appropriate gear and fuel for a self-supported effort.
There are on course aid stations and a single drop bag location for runners without crew. Aid station locations are listed as MM 9.4, MM 16.7 (drop bag), and MM 24.9 with corresponding trailhead coordinates. Bib pickup is at the start line at the East-West Junction on CR-316 / Lake Kerr Road (29.366480, -81.821900). Transportation between start and finish is the responsibility of each runner; event organizers may consider a shuttle if there is sufficient interest.
Runners must download the course GPX to a phone or watch and carry a phone during the race. The event uses trail blazes rather than course markers; participants will follow the orange blazes on the Florida Trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
