The Great Highnam Court Run : event overview

The Great Highnam Court Run is a running event held on the private grounds of Highnam Court, on the outskirts of Gloucester. The race starts and finishes at Highnam Court Cricket Ground (Church Field) near the village of Highnam, about three miles northwest of Gloucester on the A40; the entrance to the estate is concealed but signposted.

The course is a scenic, mixed-terrain route through the estate. The route begins in Church Field and loops around Holy Innocents Churchyard, continues across open fields and estate grounds, and passes alongside lakes, landscaped gardens, a rose garden, parkland and hidden woodland paths with sculptures and ponds. Terrain includes grass, paths and uneven ground in places. A water station is provided approximately halfway through each lap. The 5K is one lap and the 10K is two laps.
