The Golden 6 Hour
The Golden 6 Hour is a six hour timed trail event held on October 10, 2026, on the Swauk Forest Discovery Trail near the top of Blewett Pass. The course is a 2.45 mile single track loop that passes through varied woods, includes mountain views, and features extensive autumn color and larches. The loop has roughly 650 feet of elevation gain per circuit.
Entry is priced at $45 and the field is capped at 85 runners; the event listing notes the race is sold out with a short waitlist. Included with registration are a fall themed potluck aid station, a raffle with chances to win event merchandise, and awards for the runner with the most loops and for the most conspicuous "Golden" spirit.
Support and logistics mention a post race potluck dinner at Flying Horseshoe Ranch, parking that is first come first serve, and a required Northwest Forest Pass for parking access. Dogs are permitted at the start and finish area but are not allowed on the course. In situations such as fire, snow, or poor air quality the organizer may move activities to an alternative daylight loop at Flying Horseshoe Ranch. There are no refunds and no rollovers for entries. Past results and race photos are available for previous years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
