The Enoree Trail Run
The Enoree Trail Run takes place on February 20, 2027, in Newberry, South Carolina. Organized by G.O.A.T. Trail Running, the event follows the Enoree Passage of the Palmetto Trail through Sumter National Forest and both races begin and finish at Memorial Park in downtown Newberry.
Distances offered:
- 100 Mile: ~99.1 miles; out-and-back via Brick House and Cross Keys; 32-hour cutoff
- 50 Mile: ~55.8 miles; out-and-back to Brick House at ~27.9 miles; 15-hour cutoff
The course includes road miles to reach the trail, rolling terrain, creek crossings, and miles of singletrack. Runners travel the route in both directions and encounter aid stations along the way. Drop bags are available at Brick House for both distances and at Cross Keys for the 100 Mile. Crew access is restricted at Headlys Creek; approved crew locations are listed in the runner’s guide.
Required gear includes a downloaded course map, a fully charged cell phone, a hydration vessel, and a headlamp with spare batteries or backup power. The event is cupless, so runners must bring their own drinking vessel. February weather can vary, with possible cold, rain, and changing temperatures; the runner’s guide contains full course maps, aid station details, cutoff times, and other race requirements.
