The Endless Mile
The Endless Mile is a multi-hour ultrarunning event held October 22–25, 2026 at Veteran's Park in Alabaster, Alabama. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned and measures exactly 1.00203 miles per loop on a paved, lighted path. The loop is very flat, with about 12 to 15 feet of elevation gain per lap, and it passes wooded areas and several lakes. The park includes restrooms with running water, picnic areas, playgrounds, soccer fields and a youth baseball complex.
Runners circle the loop for a set time and are electronically chip timed so exact distance is recorded and displayed. The event offers these timed options:
- 6-hour race
- 12-hour race
- 24-hour race
- 48-hour race
- 72-hour race
The aid station is open 24 hours and provides made-to-order real food across the event plus standard aid station items, hot liquids and Tailwind hydration. The race is cupless; runners should bring their own cup. Direction on the course reverses every six hours. Personal aid stations are allowed near vehicles; parking must respect single-space rules and not block traffic. There is no race-day registration and online registration closes before the event.
