The East Coast "Chuffer"
The East Coast "Chuffer" is an off-road trail event organised by Its Grim Up North Running at Peasholm Park, North Bay Promenade, Scarborough. The races are licenced by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules and use the old railway Cinder Track for much of the route.
The course follows an old railway line and combines coastal views, woodland stretches, and sections of cinder track. Water stations are provided at approximately three mile intervals. Route maps are available for each distance and the longer events use a 6.7 mile loop repeated for the half marathon and marathon.
