The Divide Trail Race
The Divide Trail Race takes place at Thompson Park, Sagebrush Flats parking area, just south of Butte, Montana, on September 25, 2027. Races follow sections of the Continental Divide Trail and the Milwaukee Road Trail through local trail features.
The course passes historic train tunnels, rail trestles, and the rolling trails of Thompson Park. The race start and finish elevation is 5,725 feet. Pipestone Pass is a high point on the route, at over 6,300 feet.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 50K trail race
- 25K trail race
- Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- 1/2 Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K trail race
All registrants receive a souvenir race medal and lanyard, a custom race bib, stickers, Hammer Nutrition fueling products, aid station support, a marked and certified course, chip timing, and posted results. Snacks and refreshments are provided at the finish area. Shirts are not included with registration but are available for purchase in the race store for $25.
