About the race
The Clint Eastwood is an endurance running event held at Oxley Creek Common, Rocklea. The course is a smooth, compact surface with minimal elevation and runs mostly along Oxley Creek. Competitors complete repeated laps of a measured circuit that is 6.706 km long with 69 metres of ascent and 69 metres of descent per lap. The format requires one lap per hour.
Each lap must be completed within the hour and runners must be in the starting corral at the bell or horn. Laps begin precisely on the hour with warnings issued three, two and one minute before each start. Participants may not leave the course during a lap except to use restrooms.
No personal aid is allowed during a lap other than from the on-course aid station, and artificial aids are prohibited. The event includes an aid station with food and electrolyte, cooking amenities, first aid and six toilets. Participants may use their own crew between laps but crew are not permitted on the course. When only one participant remains, that person must complete an additional lap alone within the hour to be declared the winner; if no runner can complete a final lap, all participants are recorded as DNF with their completed lap count.
