Charm Bracelet Marathon : Redcar to Whitby, Sunday 11 April 2027
The Charm Bracelet Marathon is a coastal trail event covering approximately 26.57 miles along the King Charles III England Coast Path and sections of the Cleveland Way, heading south from Redcar to finish in Whitby. The route passes coastal villages, high cliffs, stretches of sand and varied underfoot conditions including mud, rocks and tree roots. Runners pass the 'Circle' sculpture between miles 7 and 8. Total ascent is listed as 3,263 ft.
The event is organised as a trail race with four marshaled checkpoints and four aid stations offering water, snacks and soft drinks. The entry fee includes a finishers medal; optional items include a finishers t-shirt and coach transport from Whitby to Redcar for the start. Prize trophies are awarded for overall and age-category winners across male, female and non-binary categories.
Practical details: walkers are permitted provided the course is completed within the allocated maximum time of 10 hours. Entrants must be over 18. Dogs are not allowed on the course. A single labelled bag may be left for collection at the finish. First aid cover is provided. A GPX route file and OS Maps route are available for the course. Race permit ARC/26/0066 applies.
