The Billing
Saturday 13 February 2027. Organised by Great Owl Running, The Billing is a winter trail race based at Rawdon Cricket Club in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The course is listed as 14 km with 875 ft of ascent, limited to 100 places and open to entrants aged 18 and over. The published entry fee is £18.
The route is a circular, mostly traffic free loop over fields, trails and public footpaths. Runners tackle two ascents of the Billing, run across exposed moorland above Yeadon and complete a lap around the perimeter fence of Leeds Bradford Airport. The course is fully waymarked, marshalled and a GPX file is available as a navigation backup.
Race headquarters at Rawdon Cricket Club provides toilets, secure bag storage and free parking. The event includes a marked course, GPX and a map, with warm drinks and a well stocked bar at the finish. There is an event village on site.
Mandatory or recommended kit items listed by the organiser include a windproof and waterproof jacket, trail shoes with grip and spare warm clothing and shoes for the finish.
