Texoma Challenge
The Texoma Challenge is an endurance trail event held June 26, 2027 at Waterloo Park in Denison, Texas. The event uses a 6.2 mile loop of unique trails that begins and ends at the park and offers multiple race distances around the same loop.
Distances offered:
- 50K
- 50K Relay
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 10K Ruck
- 5K
The trails are rooty and dirt single-track with rolling hills, providing about 500 ft elevation gain per loop. The course is fully marked and supported, with aid station food and hydration and event photography. There is a 9 hour cutoff for all events. Headlamps are required for all participants. Pacing is allowed only on the last two loops of the open 50K and is not permitted for the relay.
Ruck requirements for the 10K Ruck specify a 30 lb ruck for participants over 150 lb and a 20 lb ruck for those under 150 lb; a ruck sack or vest is allowed. This is a no cup race so participants need their own water carrying system. Event entries offer collectible race tees and finisher medals, first place male and female awards for each distance, a DFL award for the 50K and 50K relay, and a 10K Ruck patch.
