Event Overview
The Terror Trails Ultra takes place on October 31, 2026, at Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw, North Carolina. This trail running event is organized by Apex Promoz and Rocktop Racing, coinciding with Halloween. Distance Options
Participants can choose from four distinct distances:
- 50 km: Consists of two laps of the 15.5-mile course, featuring six aid station passes and a 10-hour cutoff.
- 25 km: A single 15.5-mile loop encompassing the full variety of the park's terrain, with an 8-hour cutoff.
- 8 Miler: A single loop that combines fast trails with technical sections and vertical gain.
- 4 Miler: An introductory loop designed for those new to trail running, featuring one aid station.
Race Day and Logistics
A cookout lunch including burgers and hot dogs is provided for participants, and runners may set up canopies and chairs along the course. Registered runners receive a finisher's medal, while race shirts are available as an additional purchase. Aid stations are stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks. The organizers recommend that any runner on the course for longer than 90 minutes carry a hydration vest.
