Terror Trails Ultra
Terror Trails Ultra takes place on October 31, 2026 at Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw, NC. The event offers multiple trail distances and a single entry price for any distance as stated in the event information.
Distances:
- 50K completed as two laps of the 25K loop.
- 25K one lap of an approximately 15 mile loop.
- 8 Miler one lap of an approximately 8 mile loop.
- 4 Miler one lap of an introductory 4 mile loop.
Course details note a mix of smooth fast sections and technical terrain, including rocks, roots, creek crossings and notable vertical. Aid stations are positioned around the course and will be stocked with water, Gatorade and snacks. Runners on the course for 90 minutes or longer are advised to use a hydration vest. The 25K has an 8 hour time cutoff and the 50K has a 10 hour time cutoff.
All registered participants receive race entry into any distance, a finisher's medal, and a cookout lunch of burgers and hot dogs. Top three overall finishers in each distance will receive a special award. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before the race at Middle James Brewery in Waxhaw. Weather in past years has ranged roughly from the 40s to the 80s Fahrenheit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
