Tenderfoot Boogie

Tenderfoot Boogie is a trail race held in Whistler, BC on June 19, 2027. The event offers three distances:

  • 12K
  • 26K
  • 50K

All races start and finish at Bayly Park. Courses run on west coast forest trails and follow sections of the Sea-to-Sky Trail near the Cheakamus River. Terrain is mostly runnable but includes some very technical, rocky, steep and gravely sections. The official route brings runners close to the Whistler Train Wreck; racers have the option to visit the site during or after the race via a detour of under 100 m.

Aid stations are placed on each course and provide water, electrolyte drink, energy gels, snacks, Coke, fruit, pickles, cookies and first aid supplies. The 12K turnaround is water only. Distances between aid stations vary and runners are advised to carry hydration and fuel for long gaps. The event is cup-less; runners must bring their own container for fluids at aid stations.

There is no mandatory gear list, but runners are encouraged to carry hydration, a bottle or cup, extra clothing for changing weather, and consider poles while avoiding pole use in the start crowd. Dry/drop bag procedures differ by distance; 50K bags are transported to a mid-course aid station. Limited parking is available near Bayly Park and carpooling is recommended. GPX and printable course maps are provided for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
