Tapyard Ultra 50km

The Tapyard Ultra is a 50 km point to point ultramarathon held on Saturday 5 September 2026. For 2026 the route starts at Ramsbury Brewery in Wiltshire and finishes at Renegade Brewery in Berkshire; the running direction will change each year. The course covers about 340 m of elevation and is roughly 75% off road, taking in woodland trails, footpaths, canal towpaths and country lanes.

The route is fully signed and organised with four checkpoints spaced at approximately 10 km intervals. Checkpoints supply cola, water, energy drinks and sweet and savoury snacks. There are four aid stations in total, chip timing, live tracking and medical backup. The event has a nine hour cut off and organisers provide prize awards, free race photos, a medal, event mementoes and a free drink at the finish bar.

Logistics include a pre-event shuttle bus option to take participants from the finish to the start, the ability to leave personal nutrition to be taken to the third and fourth checkpoints, and post-event massage. A GPX file for the course will be provided about one week before the event. Entry fees are listed at £68 to £70 and entries close on 1 September unless capacity is reached earlier.

Mandatory kit includes a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml bottle or vessel for fluids. Recommended items include a waterproof jacket, a cup and a method of payment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
