Tanri Lake Race : Miramonte, CA
Tanri Lake Race is a set of timed and looped running events held near Tanri Lake in Miramonte. The venue sits at approximately 6,000 feet elevation and uses repeat loops for each competition format. A Tanri hat and a Saturday dinner are included with registration for the listed race entries.
The event includes a Relay Race, a 10K, and an Individual Race. Distances used in the event are:
- 5 miles per loop for relay and individual laps
- 6.2 miles for the 10K single loop
Relay Race rules require teams of three. Each team member must complete four loops in the same running order as the first loop; any deviation can result in disqualification. As soon as a team member finishes their lap, the next runner may begin from behind the start line. There is no separate Men's or Women's division for relay teams. Prize awards are listed for the top three relay teams.
The Individual Race is a fixed duration event where runners complete as many 5 mile laps as possible within the race period. Only Individual Race entrants qualify for the Western States raffle; qualifying requires completing at least eight laps. Raffle ticket allocation increases with consecutive years of participation up to three years. The 10K consists of one loop around the lake and offers separate Men's and Women's divisions with awards for the top three finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
