The Talon Trail Races : October 3, 2026
The Talon Trail Races, presented by BackRoads Brews + Shoes, take place at 32217 Kerwood Rd, Parkhill, Ontario on October 3, 2026. Courses run through mature forest, river valleys and scenic countryside along the Ausable River, including singletrack sections at Mystery Falls and Joany’s Woods. The signature route is a point-to-point 26 km course that moves from Mystery Falls to Joany’s Woods and passes varied terrain such as technical singletrack, rolling gravel roads and Scout Camp trails.
Joany’s Woods hosts three looped options that begin and end at the same main gathering area, creating a central festival atmosphere for participants and spectators.
Distances:
- 26 km point-to-point from Mystery Falls to Joany’s Woods
- 11 km loop combining both Joany’s Woods loops
- 7.7 km run or walk loop
- 3.3 km walk loop
Each registration includes an event race shirt, aid station access with water and snacks, finish time for 7.7 km, 11 km and 26 km participants, one post-race beverage from the BackRoads beverage garden, and shuttle transportation from the West Williams Community Centre where parking is located. Local food vendors will be on site. Proceeds support the Thames Talbot Land Trust and the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority.
