About the race
Pinery Fall Classic 2026 is a run and walk event at Pinery Provincial Park in Grand Bend, Ontario, held on October 18, 2026. The event raises funds for The Friends of Pinery Park to support education, preservation, research, and park enhancement projects.
Recent projects supported by the fundraiser include a moth wall, maintenance of rolling boardwalks, an accessible dock, art backpacks, bat detectors for citizen science, habitat stewardship and species at risk research, nature journals, and an eco-passage to help wildlife cross roads.
The event offers timed results for road races and a variety of distances:
- 2K Road Run/Walk
- 4.8K Trail Run/Walk This course uses trail and beach, includes rough terrain and stairs.
- 5K Road Run/Walk
- 10K Road Run
Wheelchair divisions are included for the 5K and 10K events. All participants will receive the event medal. Overall first through third finishers in each gender category receive signature camp mugs, and small medals are awarded for age category placings; overall winners do not qualify for age category awards.
Same day registration may be available for a CA$10 surcharge. T-shirt orders required before September 15, 2026. Chip timing and measured distances are provided for racers seeking accurate results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
