Pinery Fall Classic 2026
A run and walk event to benefit Pinery Provincial Park in Grand Bend, Ontario, taking place on October 18, 2026. The event is organized by The Friends of Pinery Park.
Distances offered:
- 2K Road Run/Walk
- 4.8K Trail Run/Walk with rough terrain and stairs
- 5K Road Run/Walk
- 10K Road Run
The 5K and 10K include wheelchair entries. The event provides chip timing and measured distances. Registration is available online; same day registration may be offered for a CA$10 surcharge. T shirt orders must be placed before September 15, 2026.
This event is a fundraiser that supports education, preservation, research and enhancement projects in the park. Recent projects include a moth wall project, maintenance of rolling boardwalks, an accessible dock, art backpacks, bat detectors for citizen science research, habitat stewardship research, species at risk research, nature journals, and an eco passage to help animals cross the road safely.
All participants will receive the event medal. Camp mugs are awarded to overall 1st through 3rd finishers by gender, and small medals are given to 1st through 3rd in each age category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
