Pinery Fall Classic 2026
The Pinery Fall Classic is a run and walk held at Pinery Provincial Park in Grand Bend, Ontario, on October 18, 2026. The event raises funds for The Friends of Pinery Park to support education, preservation, research, and enhancement projects in the park.
Recent funded projects include a moth wall, maintenance of rolling boardwalks, an accessible dock, art backpacks, bat detectors for citizen science, habitat stewardship research, species at risk research, nature journals, and an eco-passage to help wildlife cross the road safely.
The event offers timed results with chip timing for racers and multiple distance options, including wheelchair entries for some distances. Registration notes include a same day registration option for a CA$10 surcharge and a T-shirt order deadline of September 15, 2026. Early bird and regular registration periods are shown for each distance.
Distances offered include:
- 2K Road Run/Walk
- 4.8K Trail Run/Walk - trail and beach terrain, rough surface, contains stairs
- 5K Road Run/Walk with wheelchair category
- 10K Road Run with wheelchair category
Awards and recognition include a new Pinery Fall Classic medal for all participants, camp mugs for overall 1st to 3rd finishers in each gender, and small medals for 1st to 3rd in age categories.
