Symonds Yat Super Looper

The Symonds Yat Super Looper is a six hour solo trail running event held at Symonds Yat. Competitors complete as many laps as possible of a marked 5.25 km loop that gains 160 m of height per lap. The course includes technical underfoot sections, over 100 steps, a steep climb that reaches the Symonds Yat viewpoint and trig point, and riverside flat sections near the River Wye.

The event uses a mass start and laps begin and end at the aid station by the Symonds Yat car park and event headquarters. Runners are electronically scored but must sign in at the HQ after each lap; passing HQ or registration without signing in is not permitted. Pacers are not allowed. Support teams are permitted and may use the HQ car park. A well stocked aid station provides food, water and electrolytes.

Entry includes marked course, event HQ, aid station, free event merchandise, a unique finishers medal with additional loop rings, free event photos, professional timing, and medical and physio support. A percentage of the registration fee is given to Forestry England as part of a partnership to support the local forest.
