Sutton Bank Sizzler
The Sutton Bank Sizzler is a night-time, circular trail race that starts and finishes at Sutton Bank Visitor Centre near Thirsk. The route is described as approximately 7ish miles with a three hour time limit. The course will be marked with glow sticks and will be marshalled. Parking is available at the visitor centre. Entry does not open on the day of the event and entries are managed in defined entry periods.
The entry fee includes a medal and prizes for the top three female and top three male finishers. The race organizer requires compulsory kit: a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, a survival bag and foil blanket, a headtorch or handtorch, and safety pins or a race belt/event clips. All runners receive a kit check at registration. The route is run in the dark and can be exposed to the elements; participants are expected to carry the specified equipment.
