About the race

Survivorfest Running Event is a multi-day timed running event held June 11–13, 2027 in Sherwood Park, Alberta, on Treaty Six Territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Regions Two and Four.

The event offers multiple timed formats and team options:

  • 24-hour solo race
  • 12-hour solo race
  • 6-hour solo race
  • Relay loops
  • Kids races

Since 2024 both course options have IAU Bronze Label certification. Loop A is a 400 m track course using the four inside lanes and is capped at 70 athletes. Loop B is a 1.69 km road/track mix using the three outer lanes. Both loops are described as flat and fast with scheduled direction changes during each event period.

Support services and event features include a fully stocked aid station operating for the full 24 hours with hot and cold food and beverages, more than 18 hours of music for participants and spectators, and a live video stream for remote viewers. All event profits are donated to the local sexual assault support centre, Saffron Centre; since 2019 the event has donated over $57,000. Registration opens December 1, 2026 and published fees vary by entry type and registration date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
