Sunset & Cider Trail Races : Auburn, California
The event takes place on October 10, 2026 at Ponderosa Cider Co, 102 Gum Lane, Auburn, CA, near Auburn Overlook Park. It offers trail courses along the American River Canyon rim and nearby sections of the American River. After running there is live music and free cider at the venue.
Course formats include:
- 50K two out and back segments along runnable single track and a short neighborhood road.
- Half Marathon two lollipop loops along the canyon rim with mostly single track.
- 5 Miler one out and back with mostly single track; walkers are permitted.
There are four aid stations on the course, each stocked with water, hydration mix, and light food. The 5 Miler has no aid stations. The Half Marathon uses Aid #2 and Aid #3. The 50K uses Aid #1 through Aid #4. Aid station mileage listed for the 50K includes Mile 4.7, Mile 9.5, Mile 13.1 and Mile 26.4, and Mile 19.6. Aid station mileage listed for the Half Marathon includes Mile 4.8 and Mile 8.2 / 9.3.
