Sugarloaf Uphill Climb
The Sugarloaf Uphill Climb is an uphill running race held at Sugarloaf Resort that follows the Binder trail and a work road from the bottom of the SuperQuad to the resort summit at 4,237 ft. The course gains nearly 2,500 ft of elevation.
Mandatory bib pickup takes place on The Beach. Trucks will transport racer bags from the start area to the finish. There is no transportation provided for runners on the way down; runners are expected to hike down after the event.
The event proceeds are donated to the Boyne Forever Foundation. Registration is available online only and has a fee of $55; day of registration is not offered. Hiking poles are allowed; participants are asked to be mindful of others when using them.
Timing results will be posted live on Allsport Timing and on the event registration page. After the race, lunch and complimentary beer for 21-plus attendees are provided in the Comp. Center and awards for all age categories are presented there once results are available. Spectators may walk up the course or ride the lift to view the race and are welcome to attend the awards presentation.
The race will occur rain or shine; snow at the summit is not uncommon, and weather can vary with elevation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
