About the race
Storm the Bluffs takes place on 12/05/2026 at Bronk Unit Plowline Trails, 26524 Brook Dr, Minnesota City, MN 55959, US. The event features multiple trail and mountain bike races plus duathlon formats on single and double track trails atop the bluff and on short gravel road sections.
Distances and event types:
- Duathlon : 15K run-bike-run with a transition area.
- Duathlon Relay : 30K total for teams.
- 15K Mountain Bike : 15K on gravel and single/double track.
- 15K Trail Run : 15K on bluff single and double track.
- 5K Trail Run : 5K with a steep start and no flat sections.
Course details from the organizer describe uphill single track starts, rolling single and double track sections, gravel road climbs, and downhill finishes. The duathlon course begins with a three quarter mile uphill single track, includes a 15K loop to the transition area, repeats the 15K loop by bike with a half mile downhill finish, then finishes with a 1 km uphill run and a 1 km downhill run. The 15K mountain bike starts with a half mile gravel climb followed by rolling trails and a half mile gravel descent to the finish. Ebikes are not allowed in the named bike events.
Registration opens 12/14/2025 and closes 12/01/2026. Listed fees are $75 for the duathlon and the relay team entry, $45 for 15K events, and $35 for the 5K.
