About the race
The Donut Dash event on May 8, 2027 at Winona Senior High School includes a timed 4K run/walk and an untimed 1K Mini Donut kids run on the school property. Proceeds support the Foundation for Winona Area Public Schools Driven to Learn campaign to help purchase a school bus. The timed 4K course is mostly on grass around the school grounds. Age divisions for the 4K are 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ for both men and women.
Top three finishers in each age group receive a medal, and there are special awards for the overall male and female. A race t-shirt is guaranteed for 4K registrants who register by April 23, 2027. The 4K registration fee is $25 through April 23, then increases to $30 on April 24.
Registration for the 4K opens January 1, 2027 and closes April 24, 2027. The untimed 1K Mini Donut run is free for children in fourth grade and under and requires registration. All Mini Donut finishers receive a race medal. Packet pick-up is available the day before the event in the school concourse, and there is on-site packet pick-up and registration on the event day.
