Steele Creek Struggle Half Marathon Trail Race
The Steele Creek Struggle Half Marathon Trail Race takes place at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN, on October 3, 2026. The course covers 13.1 miles and includes more than 2,000 feet of elevation gain.
The route is technical single track with roots, rocks, steep climbs, creek crossings, and fast descents. Runners will encounter steep ridge lines, narrow switchbacks, rocky forest paths, and sections through thick Appalachian woodlands.
The event is not intended for beginner runners; the course is described as technical and unpredictable. Wildlife sightings are possible along the route, including white-tailed deer and wild turkey, and the presence of larger animals is noted.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. Total race registrations are capped at 100 and the published registration fee is $50. All race proceeds are donated to Steele Creek Park for trail improvements.
