Steele Creek Struggle Half Marathon Trail Race
The Steele Creek Struggle is a trail half marathon held at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN (4 Little Lane, 37620). The course covers roughly 13.1 miles and includes more than 2,000 feet of elevation gain on technical single track.
The route passes along steep ridge lines, narrow switchbacks, rocky forest paths, creek crossings, and fast descents. Runners should expect roots, rocks, and other natural obstacles as they move through Appalachian woodlands. Wildlife sightings reported along the course include white-tailed deer and wild turkey, with occasional reports of bears.
This event is described by the organizer as not beginner friendly; the terrain is raw and technical. Race proceeds are donated to Steele Creek Park for trail improvements.
