Steele Creek Struggle Half Marathon Trail Race
The Steele Creek Struggle is a trail half marathon held on 10/03/2026 at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN (4 Little Lane, 37620, US). The course distance is 13.1 miles with more than 2,000 feet of elevation gain.
The route follows technical single-track through Appalachian woodland with roots, rocks, steep climbs, narrow switchbacks, creek crossings, and fast descents. Wildlife sightings are possible, including white-tailed deer and wild turkey; bears have also been mentioned as occasionally present. The course is described as technical and unpredictable and is not intended for beginner runners.
Entry details include a registration opening on July 3, 2025 and a registration fee of $50. Total race registrations are capped at 100 and there will be no race day registration. Organizers note a shirt guarantee for registrations made before September 11. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers.
