SSR Fall Series 5K Benefiting SHS Cross Country
The Socorro Striders and Riders present the second race in their Fall series at the Cross Country Course located at the City of Socorro Rodeo Grounds & Sports Complex in Socorro, New Mexico on October 2, 2026. The community event follows the Socorro Stampede, the Socorro High School Cross Country Team's home meet; attendees can arrive as early as 3:00pm to watch the high school and middle school races.
Distances offered:
- 5K community run
- 1 mile run/walk option
Online registration carries a $5 per person fee. Race-day registration is available at the finish line for cash or check only. All registration fees and any additional donations will benefit the Socorro High School Cross Country team.
The course start and finish are located in the dirt parking lot on the east side of the soccer fields at the sports complex. The event is described as a local community running opportunity tied to the high school meet and organized by the Socorro Striders and Riders.
