Squatchy Onesiefest 5K

Squatchy Onesiefest is a themed trail event on February 14, 2027, held at Ramapo Valley County Reservation in Mahwah, New Jersey. The main distance is a 5K formed by a 1.60 mile lollipop loop run twice; a Fun Run option completes the loop once. The event capacity is capped at 200 participants and there is no formal cutoff time.

The course is a very flat, scenic loop around Scarlet Oak Pond. Except for a short singletrack connector under 0.20 miles, the trail is wide gravel and dirt. Organizers describe the terrain as non-technical; road shoes are often sufficient when conditions are dry, and winter traction recommendations are provided before the event. Trekking poles and mobility devices are allowed; wide gravel sections are compatible with all-terrain wheelchairs, while the singletrack connector may require a guide.

Event provisions include a bib with safety pins, a handcrafted finisher medal, and an aid station stocked with water, Skratch, and prepackaged snacks. The course will be marked with bright ribbons and large directional arrows. First aid and an AED are maintained at the event headquarters, which also offers private changing tents. Restrooms are available in the reservation parking lot.

The event partners with the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers; eligibility for post-race awards requires wearing a onesie. The event welcomes families and offers adaptive athlete support including free guides or pacers with prior registration and an accommodations request process.
