About the race
Sinister 7 Ultra is a multi-distance trail event held July 10-11, 2027 in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. The race takes place on trail and mountain terrain in the Rocky Mountains and includes solo and team entries.

The 100 mile course is divided into seven stages. The other formats are divided as follows: the 50 mile into four stages, the 50 km into two stages (22.8 km and 30.8 km), and the half marathon as a single 22.8 km stage. Elevation figures are supplied by the organiser: 100 mile 6692 m gain 6630 m loss; 50 mile 2985 m gain 2951 m loss; 50 km 2399 m gain 2399 m loss; half marathon 1014 m gain 1014 m loss. Solo runners may race alone or as part of a relay team of up to seven.
Cutoffs and time limits are published for each distance, for example a 30 hour limit for the 100 mile option. Transition areas are located at the end of each stage, are vehicle accessible, and allow drop bags. Aid stations are staffed and provide drinking water; runners should not rely on them as sole nutrition sources and caching gear at aid stations is not allowed. Support crews are recommended but not required.
Registered entrants receive a pre-race dinner, a race tech shirt, event photos, post-race meal and awards, and a finisher medal. Registration closes June 21 or when full. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
