About the race
Spring Fling - Houston takes place on April 17, 2027 in Houston, Texas at Cullen Park; the street address is to be determined. The event is presented by Bigfoot Running Company and includes both in-person and virtual options. The event program includes these distances: - Kids Dash (age 10 and under) - 1 mile - 5K (3.11 miles) - 10K (6.22 miles) - Volunteer then Run 5K (3.11 miles) - Virtual run (13.1 miles) Race services and on-course features include finisher medals and race shirts, aid stations, a DJ at the event area, food and refreshments at the Race Rally Tent, live awards, and course support. The 5K is chip timed; the Volunteer then Run option includes a chip timed bib.
Certain items are limited by availability and a shirt guarantee is offered for entries completed at least ten days before the event. Awards are offered for overall finishers and age groups in the 5K and 10K. Age groups include 10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, and 70 and up. Volunteer roles are available with a range of responsibilities and benefits. The Full Race Volunteer role includes a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice between a future race entry or a $20 Amazon digital gift card.
Volunteer then Run is limited to the first five participants. Course surfaces may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
