Event Overview

The Spooky 10K Trail Race is an annual running event held in the historic location of Port Gamble, Washington. The 2026 edition marks the 17th year of this trail competition. The event is limited to a field of 100 participants.

Course Details

The race covers a distance of 10 km on a course that utilizes a combination of single track trails and dirt roads. Runners encounter approximately 600 feet of elevation gain, with the majority of the climbing occurring within the first 3 miles of the route.

The course starts and finishes at the Uplands area. Specific trail segments include the Ewok climbing trail, Buzzcut, Secret Squirrel, Stumps trail, and the Beaver pond trail. The route is marked for navigation, and the race utilizes chip timing for instant results.

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes for a pre-race contest. Entry into the race includes several amenities:

Location and Access

The event is located in Port Gamble, WA. The start and finish area is situated at the Uplands, accessible from SR104. On-site activities include bib and shirt pickup on the morning of the event.
