SOX Trail Run - 7 to 9 August 2026
The SOX Trail Run is a three-day trail running event on SANParks routes in the Garden Route, based at Fairy Knowe Hotel in Wilderness. The event uses mountain single-track in the Outeniqua Mountains, indigenous forest trails in Rheenendal/Knysna, and coastal routes in Wilderness. Day 3 finishes across a floating bridge over the Touw River.
Entries are limited to 300. Options include multi-day formats and a single-day coastal event on 9 August 2026. Entry packages for multi-day events include permits and conservation fees, water tables, medical and emergency cover, bus transport for one stage, race village services, a finishers medal and beer, lunches and a prize giving lunch. Professional photographers and route sweepers are provided. Merchandise options include an event T-shirt, goodie bag and branded socks. There is a payment plan with staged payments; the first payment is not refundable.
Registration closes 25 July 2026 and late or on-the-day entries will not be accepted. The organiser may change routes for safety or regulatory reasons. Competitors must carry compulsory safety items during runs, including a charged cell phone, space blanket, whistle, emergency food, suitable clothing and water containers.
